The Plains American Legion Post #558 developmental baseball team finished the regular season and playoffs undefeated. Plains was 15-0 in the regular season and extended their winning streak to 18-0 as they won their three games in the league playoffs and were crowned WVAL Developmental Champions. Plains advanced to the eight-team, double elimination, 2008 Pennsylvania American Legion Prep Team State Playoffs at Parkland High School in Allentown. The tournament runs from July 19th to July 23rd.
The team has players from Pittston (south of Pittston by-pass), Avoca, Jenkins Township, Bear Creek, Parsons and Plains
