Ida Pearl Appel, of Pittston, passed away, Thursday, January 3, 2008, at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, on December 3, 1955, she was a daughter of George and Ida Weitz Weitz.
She graduated from James M. Coughlin High School in 1974 and the Jerrytone School of Beauty, Pittston. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church, Pittston. She was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas Appel; son, Donald and his wife, Roxanne Appel, of Exeter; brothers, George, of Bear Creek, and Edward, of Moscow; sister, Jennifer Mahue, of Bear Creek; step-grandsons, Nathan and Christopher Bordorski.
Funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston.
