At the Sunday Dispatch Person of the Year reception donations were collected for charities selected by award recipients Msgr. John Bendik and Joe Tavaglione. Msgr. Bendik, Person of the Year, chose the Care and Concern Free Health Clinic and Tavaglione, the Joseph Saporito Lifetime of Service Award recipient, chose the NEPA Vietnam Veterans. Each charity received $500.
Judy Minsavage, Sunday Dispatch office manager, also presented the recipients with a DVD and photo CD from the reception.
