Patriot basketball players get all-star honors

After a fine season, in which the Patriots finished fourth in the tough Division-1 of the Wyoming Valley Conference, two juniors were honored as All-Scholastic.
Junior guard Matt Zera was selected first team All-Scholastic, and junior forward Carl Stravinski was selected second team All-Scholastic.
Also junior forward Dan Irvin was selected as Honorable Mention All-Scholastic.
During the season senior captain Dave Strubeck was named the MVP in the Gene DeMinico game, and was selected Athlete of the Week for his performance in that game. Strubeck also represented the Patriots in the Senior All-Star game.
Carl Stravinski was also named Athlete of the Week for his efforts in the first round district game against North Pocono.
