The Chicory House presents a concert with soulful singer-songwriter and author Peter Case, whose Grammy-nominated story songs are backed by fancy fingerstyle guitar picking and wailing harmonica licks.
The concert takes place Friday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. at the Forty Fort Presbyterian Church, 1224 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort. Admission is $15. Tickets are sold at the door. Information at 570-825-8772 or chicoryhouse.com.
Case has nearly 30 years of music-making under his belt from his early days in the power-pop band The Nerves and the Los Angeles rock band The Plimsouls. He has since returned to the traditional music he loves with a unique soulful folk-rock style offering imaginative songwriting and busker-style guitar work.
Bruce Springsteen told Rolling Stone magazine that he was listening to Peter Case more than anyone else. Case served as curator for a musical program for the Getty Museum and performed Beatles songs with Sir George Martin live at the Hollywood Bowl.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served. Desserts and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening. For information call (570) 825-8772.
