United in Marriage

Sheila Marie Flanagan, daughter of Joseph and Regina Flanagan, Laflin and Robert Peter Sheils, III, son of Robert and M. Constance Sheils, Clarks Summit, were married on September 8, 2007, at St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin. Monsignor Philip A. Gray officiated.
The bride, escorted by her father, was attended by maid of honor, Maureen Flanagan, sister of the bride; bridesmaids, Linda Flanagan, sister-in-law of the bride, and Kaitlyn Flanagan, niece of the bride; and junior bridesmaid, Erin Flanagan, niece of the bride.
The groom chose Paul Walsh as his best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Moylan, friend of the groom and Michael Flanagan, brother of the bride. Ryan Flanagan, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
An evening reception was held at the Woodlands Inn and Resort, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Wyoming Seminary. She received her Bachelor of Humanities and Arts Degree in music and professional writing from Carnegie Mellon University and her Juris Doctor Degreefrom Boston College Law School. She is employed as a staff attorney for the United States District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Scranton Preparatory School. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and American Studies from Fairfield University and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law. He is an associate attorney with Sheils Law Associates, P.C., Clarks Summit.
Following a wedding trip to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, the couple resides in Clarks Summit.
