Pittston/Wyoming Area State Constables that are members of the Luzerne County State Constables Association Chapter 40, with members in Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Monroe and Columbia Counties will meet today at 3:30 p.m., at Holy Saviour Church Hillard St., in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre. The executive board will meet at 3 p.m. followed by the regular meeting. Commander Col. Joe Walters will brief all constables present on the latest developments in constable law changes, updates and information on training classes for all new constables who must attend basic training for certification under act 44 will also be discussed.
Members of the chapter are reminded that this will be the last regular meeting until Sept. 21 except for emergency meetings held by the executive board..
