50th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Albert D. Wanyo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 11 with a Mass and renewal of their vows at SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca, by the Rev. Joseph Kakareka.
They were married on October 11, 1958 in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca by the late Rev. Peter Zardecki. They were attended by the late George Wanyo, brother of the groom; Colette Wanyo, Wilkes-Barre; Michael Geron, Moosic and Helen Sutter, Phoenixville.
Mrs. Wanyo is the former Ann Marie Orlowski, daughter of the late John and Sophie Orlowski. She is a graduate of Moosic High School and is employed by Belotti Learning Window, Moosic.
Mr. Wanyo is the son of the late Emro and Mary Wanyo. He is a graduate of Larksville High School and Johnson Technical Institute. He also attended Penn State University. He was the leader of the Pennsylvania Polka Kats. He is retired from Johnson Technical Institute.
The couple has two children, daughter Lori Bradley and son-in-law Keith Bradley, Taylor and son, A.J. Wanyo and daughter-in-law Debbie, Reading. They have four grandchildren, Chancey and Sophie Bradley, Taylor and Christopher and Alys Wanyo, Reading.
They marked the occasion with a family dinner.
