Brett Connell Stanton, formerly of Doylestown, died Oct. 18, 2008 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital after a three-year battle with brain cancer. He was 31.
Born March 16, 1977, in Abington, he was a son of former West Pittston residents Jack and Mary Ellen (McNulty) Stanton; the grandson of the late Aloysius and Ann (Connell) McNulty and the late George and Elizabeth (Berlew) Stanton. He was an account executive for the CW television network in St. Louis, Mo., and previously for CBS and WB television networks in Atlanta, GA.
A standout soccer player for the Buckingham travel team and his high school and college teams, his skills on the field earned him an athletic scholarship. He was a graduate of Charleston Southern University and Perkiomen School, Pennsburg. He also attended Germantown Academy, Ft. Washington and Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Doylestown.
He is also survived by his twin sisters, Tara, Washington, D.C., and Erin Schlitt and her husband, Kevin, Phoenixville; his niece, Logan; and twin nephews Colin and Brendan; uncles Charles Stanton, New Jersey, and Patrick McNulty, Exeter; and several cousins.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 24, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Doylestown. Burial was private.
