David G. Pritchard Sr., 67, Plymouth, died June 5, 2008 and was pronounced dead at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Kingston on November 6, 1940 and was a son of the late Griffith and Edna Lawrence Pritchard. He graduated from Kingston High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He had resided in Plymouth for the past 33 years. He was employed in the housekeeping department at the V.A. Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. Earlier, he was employed by Muskin Pools, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Pritchard was a member of the Elm Hill Fire Company and a lifetime member of the D.A.V., Kingston.
Preceding him in death are his sister, Beverly Rinker and a brother, Robert.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, the former Cecelia Stokley; son David G. Pritchard Jr., Plymouth; daughters Cecelia and her husband, Carl Zawadski, Nanticoke; Nicole Pritchard and her fiancé, Thomas Rielly, Courtdale; sister Thelma Elias, Exeter; five grandchildren, Carl, Christopher, Carolyn, Jeanna and Mason.
Funeral with military honors will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Hugh B. Hughes and Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort with the Rev. Carol Coleman officiating. The interment, Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
