Mary Meyer, formerly of River Street, Forty Fort, died Jan. 9, 2008 at Mercy Center, Dallas, where she had been a guest.
Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Brigit Reap Hughes.
Mary was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School and Scranton-Lackawanna School of Business. Mary had retired from the Pa. Department of Mining, where she had been employed as a secretary.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was predeceased by her husband, Karl Meyer, in 1975; and a stepson, Donald Meyer.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Constance Owens, of Arizona; and many friends.
A funeral Mass was Jan. 15 in the chapel at Mercy Center, Lake Street, Dallas. Interment, St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston.
