Edward R. Lubinski, Sr.

Edward R. Lubinski, Sr., Yatesville, died July 19, 2008 in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Wilkes-Barre. His wife is the former Charlotte Welter.
Born in Detroit, MI on Feb. 16, 1944, son of the late Michael and Anna Vesalga Lubinski, he was a 1961 graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He was employed as an assemblyman for ABC Body. CO, Nanticoke, and previously worked for Sprague and Henwood, Scranton for 29 years. He also worked part-time for 1972-1986 for Skateaway, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre as a floor guard. He was a proud member of the Pittston Area Band Association.
He was a member of the 1st Battalion 109 Infantry National Guard, Scranton where he served from 1966 to 1987 and officially retired in 2004 as Sergeant First Class E7.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Joseph.
Also surviving are a son, Edward R. Lubinski Jr., and wife, Lisa, Harding; a daughter, Susan Martin, and husband, Robert, Falls; and four grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Martin and Rebecca and Nicholas Lubinski.
The funeral was held July 22 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Interment, Tannersville Union Cemetery. Arrangements by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, West Pittston.
