Constables to take oath of office Jan. 20

The Luzerne County Constables Association Chapter 40 will take their oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony followed by group pictures on Sunday Jan. 20 at 3:30 p.m. at Holy Saviour Church Hillard St., in Wilkes-Barre. Constables will be sworn into office by District Justice Attorney William H. Amesbury of Magisterial District 11-1-01 of Wilkes-Barre. Col. Joe Walters elected commander of the state county chapter, reminds members to dress in “Class A” winter uniforms or in a professional manner with no open collars and to be prompt to avoid being excluded from the ceremony group picture according to Lt. Col. Bill Dillon information officer for the state chapter.
