Cyril Freed , 92, passed away, Feb. 1, 2008 at the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Center, Cherry Hill, N.J.
Born on Oct. 4, 1915, he graduated from Pittston High School and Bucknell Junior College (currently Wilkes). Freed served as an Army captain during World War II and resided in New York for 55 years. He worked in radio as an English language director at the Voice of America, news director at WNYC radio, radio soap opera, and as an off-Broadway actor.
Surviving are brother, Myron E., Hartford, Conn.; sister Jeannette Bund, Boston; 11 nieces and nephews.
