Bishop James C. Timlin, retired Bishop of Scranton whose first assignment as an assistant pastor was at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston, was on hand last Sunday to cut the ribbon marking the official opening of the Care and Concern Free Health Clinic.
The clinic, housed in rooms of the former Seton Catholic High School, on William Street, is sponsored at the Parish Community of St. Casimir, St. John the Baptist, St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph. Pastor of the Parish Community is Msgr. John Bendik.
The clinic is opened to the public free of charge on Wednesday evenings. Dr. John Callahan leads several volunteers at the clinic.
