Allan R. Kanarr Sr., 67, of Washington Avenue, West Pittston, died March 12, 2008 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Allan and Josephine Krushnowski Kanarr. He was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School. Mr. Kanarr was a U.S. Navy veteran. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at the Cascades Tissue Group of Ransom for 42 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church of West Wyoming., American Legion Post 477 of Pittston and the Lithuanian Club, Inkerman.
Preceding him in death was his sister Arlene Gallasso.
Surviving is his wife of 40 years, the former Dorothy Opsitos; sons Allan, West Wyoming; Michael, Forty Fort; sister Josie Reabuck, Dallas; brothers Thomas, Calif.; John, Shavertown; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were March 15 from the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in the Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming. Interment, St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.
