Anthony F. Angeli Sr., 80, of West Pittston, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in the VNA Hospice of Lackawanna County at the Community Medical Center, Scranton.
Born in Old Forge on May 9, 1927, he was a son of the late Frank and Josephine Chikowski Angeli. He was a graduate of Old Forge High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the local garment industry. He was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston, and volunteered in various community activities.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Serino Angeli, on September 27, 1998.
Surviving are his children, Tony Angeli Jr. and his wife, Dr. Lana Grzybicki-Angeli, Moosic; Donna Angeli, Beach Haven West, N.J.; Paul Angeli and his wife, KoryLyn Angeli, West Pittston; and LoriAnn Rose and her husband, Dr. Harry Rose, Williamsport; grandchildren Anthony, P.J., Ava and Nina Angeli; sister Joan Scalese, Old Forge; brother Frank Angeli, Scranton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were April 11 from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston. Interment, West Pittston Cemetery.
