Marie Bernardoni, 79, of Swoyersville, died October 28, 2008 at Hospice Community Care InPatient Unit of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
She was born July 21, 1929, in Forty Fort, a daughter of the late John and Mary Yurkanin Marcinko. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius J; and sisters Susan Kamarunas and Vern Theiman.
Surviving are sons Richard, Luzerne; James, Exeter; Junius, Larksville; daughter Nadine Warnke, Swoyersville; grandchildren Jessica Lew, Danielle Bernardoni, Vanessa Bernardoni, Francis Bernardoni, Junius Bernardoni III, Pamela Bernardoni, Lisa Bernardoni and Colin Warnke; sisters Helen Lazar, Forty Fort; Florence Venit, Laurel, Md.; Anna Mae Trypus, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; brothers Francis Marcinko, Plains; Thomas Marcinko, Tucson, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was Oct. 31 from the Bednarski Funeral Home, Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville. Interment, Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville.
