A novena to the Divine Mercy will begin on Good Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. It will continue after Easter with a special Mass every evening at 7:00 p.m. with the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
Divine Mercy Sunday services will be held on March 30 at the Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary Chapel, Hwy. 315, Pittston Twp. The Very Rev. Paul A. McDonnell, OSJ, Provincial Superior and Seminary rector, will be the celebrant.
Introductory comments will be by Divine Mercy Cenacle Facilitator and coordinator of the Feast services Cathy Mack.
Services will begin with the blessing of the image of Divine Mercy followed by the celebration of the Eucharist (Holy Mass) at 2 p.m. Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament will follow with the Divine Mercy Chaplet in song, Marian Devotion, the Holy Rosary, Benediction and ending with the individual blessing of the First Relic of St. Faustina.
Faithful are reminded to begin the Divine Mercy Novena on Good Friday and end it on Saturday, March 29, and to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to the Feast Day.
