Robert E. Dendle, of Sunrise, Florida, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 83.
Robert was born in West Pittston, to George and Gertrude Dendle. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. He was a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Dendle; daughters Donna Dendle, Diane (Wayne) Patterson, and Debbie (Tom) Marchese; grandchildren Heather and Kristine Marchese, and Jason (Alisa) Nipper; and great grandson Brendan Nipper.
