Julius Kausmeyer , 77, of Springbrook, died February 27, 2008 following a battle with lung cancer. He was married to the former Margie Bryla. The couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on June 27.
Born Oct. 24, 1930, in Throop, he was a son of the late Julius and Anna Yontos Kausmeyer. He attended the Throop public schools. He was employed by the Maid-Rite Steak Company at its Cedar Avenue Plant, Scranton.
Surviving are sons, Curtis and Kenn, at home, and Daniel, Old Forge; a daughter, Julie, at home; one granddaughter, Megan; a brother, Joseph, Throop; a sister, DeeDee Stolarik, Throop; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Mary Nudge, and brother, Albert.
