Borough Council announced that Hughestown streets are being repaired and Pesotine Paving will do the project. Also, the Washington Terrace project is underway. The project should begin in about a week. Insurance coverage has been received from American Asphalt The Robert Yaple Memorial Park project will also get underway. New equipment will be purchased and set up for the Spring 2009 season. Again, thanks to Senator Ray Musto, Rep. Michael Carroll and project chairman Carmen Ambrosino.
Welcome home Norma Yaple and a speedy recovery.
Residents of the borough were honored to have newlyweds Captain Kevin and Mrs. Ashlee Gitkos in attendance at the Hughestown Hose Company Picnic. Also attending were his guests Sgt. Christopher Siliekus, Sgt. James Strasser and Sgt. Paul DePrimo. It was an honor to have them with us. The parade was held in honor of Lieutenant DePrimo, cousin of Captain Kevin Gitkos. We would also like to commend the services for deceased members of the Hose Company at Blessed Sacrament Church with Father Maloney.
