The Luzerne County Asset Development Coalition recently conducted training for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Commission for Economic Opportunity (CEO) volunteers to assist low income and seniors with federal income tax.
From February to April, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties will assist seniors and low income individuals with simple income tax forms. The volunteers are qualified to give assistance to senior citizens and individuals with income under $35,000 with simple federal and state income tax, PACE, and PA Rent/Property Tax Rebate. All federal income tax forms will be e-filed. This service is free of charge.
