Henry (Mag) Ascani, 78, of Hollywood, FL, died Aug. 26, 2008, at Memorial Hospital, Pembroke Pines, FL.
He was a son of the late Luigi and Nancy Ledoretti, and attended Plains Memorial High School. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a federal meat inspector in Wilkes-Barre. He was a resident of the Keystone section of Wilkes-Barre, prior to moving to Florida in 1980, where he was with the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Irene; and brothers, Perry and Angelo.
Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, Hazel Craig Ascani, at home, are sons, Joseph and wife, Marianne, and Daniel and wife, Virginia; grandchildren, Amanda and Ashley, Florida; aunt, Angie Aritz, Pittston; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held Aug. 29, 2008, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. at the Langcliff Presbyterian Church, 1001 Main St., Avoca, with the Rev. Susan Ezell and eulogy by Bill Brodbeck.
