Old Forge won its second match of the year, 6-0, as it swept its season series with Mid Valley at Spartan Stadium on Thursday afternoon in Troop.
The Blue Devils scored early as Bruno Iriarte deposited the first of his four goals on an assist from J Argonish in the back of the next just 7:12 into the first half of play to give Old Forge (2-5) a 1-0 lead.
The teams battled back and forth for the next 30 minutes before Iriarte made a pretty move to get into the open field before blasting the ball past the goalkeeper from 10 yards out for a 2-0 lead with just 1:36 left in the first half.
Iriarte got the hat trick just 10 minutes into the second half when he scored unassisted for a 3-0 Blue Devils lead.
Old Forge put the game away during the next 10 minutes as it scored three goals during a span of 3:30 as Iriarte, Argonish and Matt Rava all scored goals.
Iriarte scored his fourth goal off a 20-yard pass from Argonish in the middle of the field as he outraced two defenders to the goal at the 55:55 mark of the second half. Argonish scored off a blast from the center of the field at the 57:58, and Rava added the Blue Devils sixth goal on a direct kick from about 35 yards away that caught the top right corner of the goal.
Jason Sniegowski recorded 16 stops in goal as Mid Valley (0-8) directed 23 shots and six corners in his direction.
