Nettie F. Mosca, 87, Forty Fort, passed away April 30, 2008, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Red Bank, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and the late Lena Sferrino Fiasconaro and was a graduate Red Bank High School. She later moved with her family to the Wyoming Valley in 1948.
She was involved in numerous activities, including Boy Scout den mother to Troop 154, Kingston; Parents Council of Wyoming Seminary Upper and Lower School; Board of Directors League of Home Health Services; and the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and the Pink Ladies. She was also a faithful member of St Ignatius Church, where she served as an acolyte, Eucharistic minister and participated in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Westmoreland Club, the Mozart Club of Wyoming Valley, and an active member of the Wyoming Valley Serra Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Mosca; a daughter, Linda Lawrence; brothers Gregory and Joseph Fiasconaro and sisters Rose Palumbo and Julia Borelli.
She is survived by sons Ronald V. Mosca and wife Maryellen, Kingston; John P. Mosca and wife Tina, Forty Fort; Victor J. Mosca and fiancée Denise, Wyoming; and Thomas J. Mosca and wife Andrea, Dallas; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister Mary Nannini, Ocean, NJ; numerous nieces and nephews
Funeral service was May 3 from the Snowdon Funeral Home, Kingston, with a funeral Mass in St Ignatius Church, Kingston. Interment, St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.
