The Perspective Church located on Broad Street in Pittston held the first-ever Annual Community Block Party on the Fourth of July. Pastor Samuel Washington and his congregation, friends and neighbors of Pittston gathered for a day of music, food, snow cones, a water slide and even a few scenes from plays acted out for the attendees. Pastor Washington, along with wife Sarah, plans to make this a yearly event. Next year, pastor will bring in vendors and possibly live musical acts.
