The 7th Annual Stephanie Jallen Motorcycle Rally & Car Show and Scavenger Hunt was held last Sunday, July 7, at St. Anthony’s Church grounds of St. Barbara Parish, Exeter.

The event included food, raffles, vendors, and live entertainment all afternoon.

Stephanie Jallen, 17, from Harding, is currently on the USA Paralympic Ski Team where she has been consistently ranked in the top-10 in the world for the past two-ski seasons. Proceeds went towards Stephanie march to the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia in March of 2014.

Stephanie was born with a rare birth defect called CHILD Syndrome (congenital hemi-dysplasia with ichthyosiform erythroderma and limb defects). Hemi-dysplasia means it only affects half of her body with Ichthyosis, which is a severe skin disorder. Her left side never fully developed, leaving her arm very short and tapered down to one digit. Her leg also had to be amputated when she was an infant.

“It was a great event this year, and I’m excited to getting the 2013-2014 ski season,” Jallen said. “I want to thank all my family and friends that attended this year as well as the vendors, bands, radio station, food preparers, volunteers, and committee people for making this year a success. I would also like to thank my dad and sister, with special thanks to my mom for leading the way.”
