Barbara Attardo, who previously served as Pittston Township supervisor in 2009-2010 while fulfilling the unexpired term of her late husband, Anthony “Tony” Attardo, announces her candidacy for the Democratic nomination of Pittston Township supervisor.
Attardo curently serves on the executive board of the Luzerne County Democratic Committee, as the District One Democratic committee person for Pittston Township and as a member of the board of the Pittston Township Sewer Authority.
After 31 of business in the travel industry with her late husband, Attardo is now employed as a clerk/secretary for Pittston Township.
She is a member of St. Joseph Marello’s Parish, Pittston and has a daughter, Kimberly, who recently graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree.
