The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders honored Greater Pittston with a Community Night at the PNC Field in Moosic Tuesday night.

Leading the night’s festivities was RailRiders’ president and general manager Rob Crain.

Crain, in a pre-game ceremony, congratulated the Pittston Tomato Festival Committee on the 30th anniversary of the festival by presenting Lori Nocito and Jim Zarra certificates noting the anniversary.

Zarra, a member of the festival committee, also represented the Pittston Redevelopment Authority.

Mayor Jason Klush of Pittston, along with Nocito, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Pittston Little League All-Stars were also on hand for the celebration participating on the field during the National Anthem. Also seen in the stands were team members from the Pittston Red Devils.

Members of the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Network, Pittston Redevelopment and the Tomato Festival were seen wearing red for the evening in honor of the festival.

Games during the 7th inning stretch featured a tomato theme.
