Tanner Smits had a grand slam and six RBI to help Plains capture the District 16 Major Division title with a 12-4 win over Pittston Township on Friday.

Joe Cencetti hit a home run and John Delucca had an RBI for Pittston. Kyle Costello had three hits for Plains, while Ed Biniek and Ben Yozwiak each had two hits.

Connor Hazlet recorded a home run and a double as Pittston Township eliminated Avoca/Dupont Tuesday.

Justin Lasota earned the victory on the mound, striking out 10. Joe Cencetti had two singles, while Luke Petroski added a double in the win. Jon Delucca and Trevor Tigue each chipped in a hit for Pittston Township.

Andrew Krawczyk had the lone hit for Avoca/Dupont.

John Delucca earned the victory, and had two hits and three RBI to lead Pittston Twp. Sunday afternoon.

Connor Hazlet and Mike Nocito each recorded a single and a double for Pittston Twp. Trevor Tigue and Joe Cencetti chipped in one hit apiece.

Matt Lanzandorfer led Jenkins Township with two hits, while Joe Stella and Tyler Mozeleski each added a double.

John Vernagis had a key hit and scored a run to fuel a six-run sixth inning to propel Avoca/Dupont Sunday.

Jake Roguskie pitched a complete game and earned the win.

Riley Brody added two hits, three RBI and three runs, while Andrew Krawczyk chipped in two hits and two runs.

Joe Boler knocked in the winning run as Kingston Forty Fort scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull out the win against Exeter Wednesday.

Sam Saporito struck out eleven batters pitching.

Exeter was led by Caleb Graham who had a triple and a single batting.

West Pittston 2

Matt Saxe’s walk-ff double led Northwest past West Pittston to knock the locals from the elimination bracket Tuesday.

Andrew Janosky led West Pittston with a solo home run, while Zack Nossavage chipped in with an RBI double. Sam Saxe went 2-for-3 with a home run and an RBI for Northwest, while Mike Sherrick added two singles.

Nanticoke 15, Pittston Twp. 2

Shane Repasky cracked a three run homer, a double and drove in six to lift Nanticoke. Louis Galli had an RBI double for Pittston Township.

S. Wilkes-Barre 10

Luke Bottger and Joey Polanowski combined for a no-hitter as South Wilkes-Barre cruised to a four-inning win Tuesday over Pittston Township.

Will McCrun blasted a two-run homer as Back Mountain American knocked off West Pittston Tuesday.

West Pittston pitcher John Angelella had eight strikeouts. Daniel Weidl knocked a solo home run and singled. Dominic DeLuca ripped an RBI single in the loss.

Gavin Flanley had two triples and six RBI to lead South Wilkes-Barre past Pittston Twp.

Mark Ranielli had a triple for Pittston as the locals were eliminated.

Derek Cease and Jake Krupinski combined on a four-inning no-hitter for Nanticoke, striking out seven.

Chris Merrithew’s had two hits for Avoca/Dupont in its five-inning loss Friday.

North W-Barre 8, Pittston Twp. 2

Ryan Keys batted 3-for-3 while Griffin Gdovin had two hits and scored three runs in the North Wilkes-Barre win.

Jim Pliska had one double and Michael Elko was the winning pitcher in the Duryea/Pittston Township victory on Tuesday.

Tyler Jackson had an RBI double while Nick Alladerce had an RBI single for Jenkins/Pittston City.

Kyle Ofier was 3-for-4 at the plate and pitched a complete game for Duryea/Pittston Township Friday.

Tyler McCarry batted 2-for-4 with an RBI and picked up the win on the mound Friday, while Ryan Hannon had two doubles and two RBI in the win for ADP. Jordan Rose went 3-for-4 with a double, and Berni Kurtinitis had two hits and an RBI.
