Looking for something to do on Labor Day Weekend?
This year’s Annual Pigapolooza Pig Roast and Craft Beer Fest at the Hughestown Fire Company grounds is back on Aug. 31 and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Featured will be brews from L.T. Verrastro, Northeast Eagle Distributors and Susquehanna Brewing Company.
On the menu is a slow roasted fresh pig by Hughestown’s own smokemaster Frankie Ardo and the area’s best dry rubbed smoked pork from Barbeque by Barry (B3Q Smoke House in West Pittston) along with hotdogs, hamburgs and with many other fixings, such as corn on the cob, pasta, macaroni salad, cole slaw, baked beans and watermelon.
Several local bands will provide entertainment, including local favorite Flaxy Morgan, 12 Letters, Eddie Delucca Acoustic, and Brimstone. The Coors Light Chrome Entertainment Truck from L.T. Verrastro will also be on the grounds from 1 to 3 p.m.
This year’s event will include some new twists such as wine tastings, a Q&A session with a trained Beer Ambassador, Gift Card Raffles, Private Firkin Tastings for an additional $5, and much more.
Visit www.facebook.com/PigapoloozaCraftBrewFest for a complete list of beers, menu, and full event schedule.
Tickets will be sold from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the Beer Fest will go from 2 to 9 p.m. Ticket prices for Pigapolooza only (No Beer Fest) are $15 per person ages 6 – 15, and $20 per person ages 16 and older. Pigapolooza and Beer Fest tickets are $30 per person on the day of event.
Proceeds benefit the Hughestown Hose Company #1 equipment fund.
