NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME WATCH
Meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Avoca Borough building. The focus this month will be on the upcoming “National Night Out” for crime watch awareness, which will be held on Saturday, August 10 at the Healey Playground in Duryea. All members are asked to try and attend this meeting. New members are welcome. More information: Jim at 457-8446 or Ned at 457-6109.
AVOCA AOH
The Avoca AOH will hold it’s monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on July 25 at the West Side Social Club. All members are urged to attend.
VFW AUXILIARY
Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 8335 will not have a regular monthly meeting in July. In lieu of the meeting, the Ladies will have a covered dish dinner at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the post home, 915 Main St. Following dinner a Bingo party will be enjoyed by all members.
The next meeting will be Aug. 5 with Mary Ann Tigue, Sandy Rosser, and Louise Bartush as hostesses. Newly elected officers will begin their 2013-2014 term at this meeting.
