Friends and family of the late Dr. Jennifer Sidari will host a “Party on the Patio” fundraising event from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Damenti’s Restaurant in Mountain Top with all proceeds benefiting The Jennifer Sidari, M.D. 2013 Scholarship at The Commonwealth Medical College.
Admission fee for the event is $50 per person.
The event will feature entertainment provided by “Two of a Kind” from 5 to 7 p.m. and “Richie Molinaro & Mr. Lou” from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Greater Hazleton Health Alliance will serve as the Gold Sponsor for the event. Silver event sponsors include Citterio USA, Darrow Homes, Imbriaco Construction and T. Verrastro Distributors, along with bronze sponsors of Joseph and Tracy Kress, State Representative Tara Toohil and State Senator John T. Yudichak.
Jennifer Sidari, M.D. passed away unexpectedly on May 29, just two weeks after receiving her doctoral degree from The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC). Born and raised in West Pittston, she was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School and The University of Scranton.
Despite her shortened life, her accomplishments are innumerable. She was nationally recognized in her medical education by receiving the Physicians of Tomorrow Award. During her studies at TCMC, she volunteered in children’s hospitals and clinics around the world, including South Africa and Haiti. Most of all, she was known for her contagious smile and selfless personality.
