A dream has finally come true for Boy Scout troop 302 leader Pat Messina. For years, he had a dream of a cargo trailer for the troop to use to haul gear to camp and other functions.

In early July, just before the troop was to leave for a week at Goose Pond, a brand new Hallmark trailer arrived.

Bob and Colleen Trusavage were waiting for Messina and their son, Bradley, to come back from the Eagle Scout board review where Bradley earned the Eagle Scout Award.

“I give a lot of credit to Pat, Bobby and Rosalee Messina for all their devotion to the scout troop and to the community,” Trusavage said. “We wanted to give something back to the troop and knew we had just what they needed.”

Bradley Trusavage was Pat Messina’s 30th Eagle Scout. A special thanks goes to Bernie’s Caps and Trailer Sales in Old Forge and Sign Savers’ Dave Humko for their help.
