Cassandra Coleman, Exeter mayor, was there.
Members of Exeter Borough Council were there.
Firefighters and police officers from the borough were there.
Little Gracelyn Butcofski was there to give her grandfather a good luck kiss.
Masha Ackerman was there to present a Jerome Bettis autographed football.
Some 150 Pittsburgh Steelers football fans were there in full regalia.
And all were there because Cuz was there.
Cuz is Francis Stuppino, beloved owner and operator of Cuz’s Steelers Bar in Exeter. And the occasion last Sunday was the grand re-opening of the bar which burned to the ground on April 30, 2012.
Mayor Coleman cut the ribbon on the perfect day for the occasion: the opening of the 2013 NFL season.
The Steelers-Ravens kicked off at 1 p.m. to a packed crowd at Cuz’s and even the outcome of the game could not squelch their enthusiasm. Although Cuz is the first to admit that a victory Monday night against the Redskins would be a nice item to have on the menu.
