Members of Pittston Kiwanis and the Pittston Area Key Club participated in a special event together on May 19, replacing American flags on veterans’ graves in St. John’s Cemetery on Market Street in Pittston. The event was scheduled to spruce up the graves for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday and the flags were provided by the Veterans Affairs Office. Members attempted to replace every flag in the cemetery, numbering more than 600 flags.
