The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Inc. is inviting middle or high school students of Luzerne County to enter the 2015-2016 Irish History Contest. This annual contest is open to any students (public, private, parochial, or home-schooled) of grades 6 through 12. This year’s topic for the centenary of the Irish Uprising honors the women of Érin: The Involvement of Women in the 1916 Easter Rising.

There are two categories: Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12. Cash prizes are awarded to winners at the state and national levels.
