Justin Topa, a senior communication studies student at Wilkes University, received the 2015 Lawrence G. Foster Award for Excellence in Public Relations at the recent Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) national convention held in Atlanta, Georgia. This award is given each year to a student who demonstrates excellence in academics and ethical decision-making in public relations practice. Topa, a Dean’s List student, is completing dual concentrations in organizational communication/P.R. and rhetoric with minors in marketing and women’s and gender studies. He is a graduate of Pittston Area High School and the son of Ellen Topa of Avoca.
