AVOCA — Queen of the Apostles Parish held its annual pig roast Sunday, July 19 in the St. Mary’s School parking lot, 742 Spring St., Avoca. Food included roasted pig as well as hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, salad and desserts. There was also be a cash prize grand raffle, children’s games, a bake sale and basket raffles.
