WEST PITTSTON — James Rose Jr. was appointed to the borough council at a special meeting Tuesday evening.

Rose fills the spot left vacant when his father, James Rose Sr., resigned earlier this month.

Rose Jr. was sworn in by Judge Thomas Burke. Rose Jr.’s grandfather, Allan Rose, also served on the borough council.

Rose Jr. will serve until the end of his father’s term, which runs until Dec. 31 of this year.
