After a long, dry period, steady rain will be making its way to the area for the next couple of days.
The National Weather Service reported that it was 64 degrees at 6:54 a.m. at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International airport.
Showers and a possible thunderstorm will be coming through the area today with between a quarter and half an inch of rain and temperatures at 76 degrees with an 80 percent precipitation rate.
Tonight will also see showers and a possible thunderstorm with between one to two inches of rain and a low of 62 degrees with a 100 percent precipitation rate.
Wednesday will have an 80 percent chance of precipitation and a high of 66 degrees with anywhere between three quarters and one inch of rain.
Scattered showers and clouds are being reported for Wednesday night with a 50 percent precipitation rate and a low of 50 degrees.
Thursday will have a high of 60 degrees and clouds with a 50 percent precipitation rate while Thursday night will have a low of 48 degrees with clouds and a 40 percent precipitation rate.
