St. Joseph Marello Parish hosts Mother of the Rosary Feast Day Mass and procession Oct. 4

PITTSTON — St. Joseph Marello Parish hosted the 93rd annual Mother of the Rosary Feast Mass held Sunday, Oct. 4 with a procession of St. Mary starting at the Orioles Park located on Pine Street in Pittston Township.

Our Lady of the Rosary is another title for the Blessed Virgin Mary and a Feast Day is a day on which a Christian celebration is held.

The Our Lady of the Rosary Feast Day comes in celebration of when the Christian fleet defeated the Ottoman fleet at the Battle of Lepanto on Oct. 7, 1571.
