The sunshine from yesterday will be the last the Wyoming Valley sees of it for a while as rain is to be expected these next few days.

The National Weather Service reported it was 52 degrees at 6:54 a.m. at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport.

There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation with temperatures reaching 56 degrees and rain beginning after 10 a.m. while tonight will see temperatures drop to 46 degrees with a 100 percent chance of precipitation.

Wednesday will see rain before 7 a.m. and temperatures reach a high of 55 degrees while Wednesday evening will be mostly cloudy with a low of 43 degrees.

Showers can be expected between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday with an 80 percent precipitation rate and temperatures reaching 55 degrees while Thursday evening’s temperatures will dip down to 42 degrees.
