It may be December, but don’t expect snow to kick off the holiday season just yet as rain and mild temperatures will be dominating the majority of the week.
The National Weather Service reported it was 43 degrees at 6:54 a.m. at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport.
Tuesday has a 90 percent precipitation rate with a high of around 47 degrees while Tuesday night has an 80 percent chance of precipitation and a low of 44 degrees.
A high of 52 degrees and an 80 percent precipitation rate is being reported for Wednesday with temperatures dropping to a low of 40 degrees Wednesday night and a 90 percent chance of precipitation.
Thursday will have a high of 43 degrees and a chance of rain before 8 a.m. with temperatures expecting to drop to around 31 degrees Thursday night with a slight chance of showers before 8 p.m.
