With a fresh coat of snow on the ground and partly sunny skies predicted, Sunday is shaping up to be rather bright, so you may want to keep those sunglasses handy.

Winter Storm Jonas has left the Wyoming Valley with varying snow totals from about nine inches in Mountain Top to a few inches in the Back Mountain.

Mild temperatures predicted for the Valley this week will see a lot of snow melting.

Sunday morning temperatures are hovering around 10 degrees, but the mercury is expected to climb to 29 degrees. Sunday night temperatures will dip to 15 degrees.

As the work week begins on Monday, temperatures will reach 32 degrees with partly sunny skies. Melted snow will refreeze Monday night as temperatures will decrease to 27 degrees.

Tuesday, a 30 percent chance of rain combined with temperatures reaching 39 degrees will wash away much of the snow. Tuesday night temperatures will drop to 27 degrees.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday with daytime highs reaching 32 degrees. Wednesday night, temperatures will drop to 17 degrees.
