PITTSTON — The Greater Pittston Friendly Sons of St. Patrick honored Past President Lee Monteforte at the Annual Past Presidents Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Knights of Columbus in Pittston.

The night featured a cocktail and buffet dinner along with refreshments and live music.

Monteforte’s tenure includes the awarding of scholarships to deserving students from the Greater Pittston area, a halfway to St. Patrick’s Day party at the Red Mill, another successful year of the Black Shamrock Open, a fun-filled Christmas gathering, and the culminating event of his presidency, the 101st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Banquet with IEBW Union Leader John “Johnny Doc” Dougherty as principal speaker.

All the past presidents and members of the Greater Pittston Friendly Sons of St. Patrick were invited to participate.
