Both Lenten sales will also include red clam chowder, seafood bisque, haluski, pizza, frozen pierogies (sold by the dozen), and a bake sale.

The schedule of weekly Lenten prayer and formation opportunities is as follows: Mondays from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays at 7 p.m.

Doors of Mercy Series: Participants will meet each week beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16 in the convent across from the school. There is a $15 registration fee to help defray the cost of the study guide and materials. Call the rectory to register.

Rev. Joseph C. The annual parish mission will be held at the church beginning Saturday, Feb. 20 until Wednesday, Feb. 24. The mission services, which will be led by Rev. Sylvester Peterka, CM, are themed “Patient and Merciful” which is based on the theme of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy.

There will be a mission services during the weekend Masses at 4 p.m. on Feb. 20 and at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. on Feb. 21 as well as special services at the church at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 22 through 24.

St. John’s is now renting out the lower level beginning in January for non-members for events. Cost is $25 per hour plus a $25 per hour security fee. Cost for members of St John’s is $12.50 per hour and a $12.50 security deposit, maximum four-hour limit.

New hours for the parish office will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The office will be closed on Tuesdays. The pastor is off Fridays. Calls will not be returned, but messages will be taken on Fridays.

The annual Lenten “The Light Is On For You” Sacrament of Penance will be celebrated each Monday of Lent from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Those attending are asked to use the chapel only, for examination of conscience and prayers and penances, and use the confessional door from the Chapel to enter to go to confession.

There is a sign-up sheet in the sacristy of the church for Extraordinary Ministers of Communion Training. The Diocese has scheduled three consecutive Tuesdays in with the last oen being from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the Pastoral Life Center, the former Bishop Hannan High School.

Mass for the Road to Resurrection will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17. Refreshments will be served afterwards. There is a sign-up sheet in the vestibule of the church for those who wish to bring snack items, fruit and veggie trays and desserts. Items may be left in the parish center the afternoon of the Mass up until the Mass begins.

The 10th annual celebration of the Divine Mercy will be held on April 3. Principal celebrant and homilist will be Father Pio Mandato, FMHJ. Sacrament of Reconciliation 1 p.m.; Blessing of Image of Divine Mercy, Mass, 2 p.m. and Exposition of Blessed Sacrament, 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
