Another hot and humid day

By Mark Guydish -

Overnight rain may have cooled parts of the area but it’s expected to be another hot and humid day.

The National Weather Service had the temperature at 64 at 6:55 this morning, but local thermometers were already at or near 70 in spots.

Skies are clear and sunny and largely expected to stay that way as the thermometer climbs to a projected high of 89. Humidity will make it feel much hotter, closer to 96 degrees.

Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 65 degrees while Monday should hit a high of 90 with a chance of strong afternoon thunderstorms.

Tuesday is expected to bring some relief to the heat and humidity, dropping to a high of 84. That trend should continue through midweek before temperatures climb back into the 90s for next weekend.
