HUGHESTOWN — Arthur Savokinas, principal of the Pittston Area Primary Center, announces that kindergarten orientation will be the first day of school, Monday Aug. 29.
The orientation will begin at approximately 10 a.m. and end between 11:30 a.m. and noon.
At this time, parents will learn about the curriculum, meet their child’s teacher, meet with the school principal, and visit their child’s classroom.
Students who ride the bus will be picked up with their parent/guardian one hour later than their assigned pick-up time. Students who are driven to school should report by 10 a.m.
A School Messenger phone message will be sent to all parents with assigned bus stops and pick-up times. A letter has been sent to all parents explaining school procedures.
